Setting Polar CE0537

Hello,
I'm hoping you can help me. I have an older heart rate monitor, which I haven't used for quite some time, and now I don't remember how to set the functions. Do you have instructions for this model? It looks like the 150 you show elsewhere on the site. I just want to set the date and time, clear the stop watch, and use it to time laps and see what my heart rate is. Since we replaced the battery, but didn't have a way to seal it, I assume I can't use the watch in the pool. Is that correct?
Thanks so much.

I am looking also for instructions, as I purchased the same model some years back and moved and can't find the instructions.

You do not have the right model number. For some reason, Polar puts the CE0537 in big numbers on the back of the case. The real model number on my unit was in very light engraving right above the words "Polar Electro" on the back of the case. Looks like they have an engraving problem where both the model and serial number are very hard to read. If it helps, my model was S120 and I found the manual quickly on the polar site. The polar site also has the location of model numbers in their FAQ area.

Changing battery

Per the owners manual you should not change the batteries yourself because it is a waterproof system. http://fitness.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/polar/f2.html?p=13

Polar ce0537 batteries

Hi Garry,
I suggest the first thing to try is to replace the battery.
It uses a DL2025 or a CR2025. Your battery should measure 3 volts, and should be constant. Some batteries will hold some charge, appear OK, but have no power and the voltage drops very quickly.
Check the replacement procedure for the battery. Check the battery flat metal holding strap is clean and in place correctly.
Make sure you can reset the time as this will indicate the heart rate monitor is working

I need to know how to set the heart rate range on my monitor. CE0537

In my tips and tricks page is a link to download the manual for free.

There is also a quick guide to settings on the F6, the F6 has several different types of ranges that can be set, so specific instructions would depend on what type of HR zone you are looking to set and whether it is one, two or three zones.

Have a Polar CE0537 S725 watch.I want to reset my time and all the other settings, please help.

If you go to my Tips and Tricks page, there is a link to the manuals for all Polar watches, including the S725.

To reset anything you need to access SETTINGS. On the S-Series watches push either the top right or bottom right buttons until you see the screen that says settings. Then push the red button to choose. use the right buttons again to scroll to the area you want to set. Keep repeating for every function you want to change.

As an alternative, the S725 connects to software that would have come with your watch, if you are connected to the computer through this software you can reset settings from the software and import them to your watch. The specifics of this are in the user manual.

My Polar HR monitor ce0537 do not pickup Hart rate

Had the same problem. Just figured it out. The center Polar Logo on the strap needs to touch your chest in a firm way. Bend it back slightly so it fits snug on the middle of your chest.

Polar F6

Hello,

It sounds like most of you have the heart rate set to display in % of max heart rate. Most Polar products have the option of heart rate in BPM(beats per minute) or percentage of max.

If you look at the display during the exercise, you will see a % icon. You can turn it off in by hitting the back button and go down to HR view settings.

Hope this helps.
