My original cd fir 1300 hp printer does not install on my new laptop. the printer is still good but I need to connect it to my new laptop before I can print

You can find detailed instruction on the HP website here:
HP PSC 1300 All in One Printer Series Setting up the All in One Hardware
but it only takes you up to the stage where youneed your installation disk that came with the printer. Put this into the cd/dvd drive of you computer and follow the instructions for driver and software installation. At some stage during the installation you will be asked to connect the printer to the computer and turn it on.

It is in pdf format and can be saved to your computer for future reference.

on your desktop go to printers and share your printer. then from your laptop go to printers click add new printer. then choose a network printer and click find or search to find the printer conencted on your pc. the pc has to be turned on in order to print

you have to assign port for the printer in the router and reserve static ip for it

Do you have drivers?

1. www.hp.com/#support get downloaded drivers
2. Install the drivers downloaded
3. When prompt for printer connection, plug the USB cable and switch on the printer
4. Your Laptop will recognize the printer

hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you|? friend if your HP printer displays error after installing you orig.cartridges. the problem is in your software your software connections are already corrupting thats why he cant manage it to detect. all you have to do is re install your printer cd driver. but before installing the new one you need to uninstall or remove the old one first.thats all good luck hope i helped you
