I think possibly your machine is not on a level surface. Try rocking the machine, if it wobbles, the feet need adjusting to level the machine. It will cause damage in the long run if not levelled.
The machine is perfectly level. The issue just started happening recently, i was thinking maybe an air shock or some sensor.
Then it may be the drum bearings which is not so simple to fix. This site gives some help and advice. http://www.washerhelp.co.uk/diy-repair-h...
Our machine had the same problem. (kept getting louder and louder during spin cycle until it just didn't work one day). It was only 32 days out of warranty and the after 1 minute of 'diagnosis' and $119 to have the repair man from Sears walk through the front door, the repair bill for the washer's main bearing is $1800. (OUCH!)
After spending so much money on a their 'best' washer and matching dryer, I'm highly dissatisfied with Sears lack of any sort of cooperation. The repairman offered nothing but apologies and a $100 coupon toward another Sears appliance(?). Who in their right mind would go through this again? Would *you* purchase another set of appliances for more than $3500 to know that they'd need to be replaced in 2 years?
PASS ON SEARS APPLIANCES - there are too many issues with their mfg & production. No wonder the new models keep coming out every 6-12 months. :(
Several of their personnel said, these appliances aren't made to last like they did in the old days - you should have paid the extra $300 for the additional warranty & coverage. That just doesn't make sense BECAUSE I found out that the warranty is really no better!!!
If the appliance repair costs more to fix than the value of the machine, they give you a new 'comparable' machine not the same make, model, or color...so you end up with an UNMATCHED set - NO THANKS. You can keep your shoddy machines, your poor attitude and terrible customer service!
TWO THUMBS DOWN on Sears appliances and customer service (management level help is no better than the sales reps on the floor - so two more thumbs down).
