I loaded Logitech Quick Cam and lost all sound on my computer. I checked the system devices and it tells me that no audio devices are loaded. I reloaded the SB driver and bought and installed a new sound card. Nothing helps. Dell computer running W-XP.

Sound card is not detected

Sound detection requires either the audio setup within windows or the system drivers provided by the card mfg. Go to Start/Control-Panel/Devices/Sound and look to see if your hardware is there. Look at the list and if any ICON shows up indicating a device is found but not working, this could also be a problem with Drivers. Go to the maker of the card and get the current driver updates and install accordingly.

No audio device in my computer, how can i check if my sound card have defect?

If the computer prompt you that you have no audio device, then your soundcard really is defective or has a dirty contact point of which your computer cannot detect. Clean the contact points first, then plug it again on your computers internal PCI slot that is located on your motherboards surface. If your computer still cannot detect a new device installed, then your sound card is definitely defective and needs to be replaced. But if your computer has detected a new hardware device installed but prompt you to install a driver, then your sound card is working properly and just need the proper driver for it to work properly. Just install the sound card driver from the mini disk that you have. When you buy a sound card a mini disk always goes along with it. Hope this would help you. Have a nice day my friend.

"no audio device installed"

First check the device manager from the control panel. Check and see if there is a audio device detected and if it is a problem device. If the device has a problem try removing the audio software and then remove the audio device.then re-boot the computer and windows should detect the hardware and begin installing drivers. Make sure you have the updated drivers from Dell downloaded and the updated software. If it does not detect the hardware after re-boot you can try adding hardware manually in the control panel and have it auto detect any new hardware. If these thins do not work the audio card or built in audio may have stopped working. You can buy a basic PCI audio car for fairly cheap to install on your computer if you cannot get the audio to work.

We have no sound coming from our PC. There are

To check, click windows start button, point to computer, click manage, then look for device manager. If you see an exclamation or "x" mark on your audio device this means that your audio driver is not properly installed.

If audio no error marked sign and says that your audio driver is ok, uninstall it then re-install the audio driver.

Audio is not working for P5SD2-VM motherboard...

You probably need Microsoft UAA drivers first
1) Remove any installed audio drivers through device manager
2) Download Microsoft UAA drivers for your O/S
3) Install them and reboot
4) go to device manager right click sound and update driver
It will go on the net and in most cases find and install them
