log in to the router from a web browser by typing its IP address into the browsers address bar (default IP address should be 192.168.1.1) this will prompt you for a username and password (default usernames may be admin, user, or no user name i.e. blank, default passwords may be admin or password) once logged in you can change the routers password from the 'security' tab.
