I have a Sony Vaio VGN-CR42 S/W Laptop. I have installed the new windows 7 recently and since this, the SD card slot has stooped working. I assume that all i have to do is update the driver but i am not sure how to do this. In Device manager, All devices seem to be up to date. I have a backup of all the drivers prior to installing windows 7 but i do not know where to put them or how to install them to get them to work. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. You are correct. Since you have installed the Windows 7 Operating System in the Computer, it is required to install the Memory Card Reader Drivers in the Computer to fix the issue.

Please download and install the Drivers from the below link as in the given order.

Please download and save each file on the Computer, after that, please double click on the downloaded file to begin the installation. Please follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation process.

Please make sure that you restart the Computer after each installation.

Installing the Drivers in the above order will fix the issue.
