Motherborad drivers hi I have lost my motherboard driver and i have formatted my system and i want to ahave sound in my system or i want to know how to find another sound driver and also i want to know how to know the moterboard seriel number omar, system model :compaq pc bios v: Award software internation inc -4.51 inter pentium 3 processor version :X86 family 6 model 7stepping 3 451 mhz i lost my motherboard cd .plz send me that software [email protected]

Hi,
on the mother board you can observe the IC of the soundcard by using that you cn find the sound driver.Or by using model of *********** board you can search on internet your motherboard drivers

The position of the number, may be different depending on manufacturer.

sometimes you also find the number repeated on a sticher on motherboard.

Assuming you are running XP.

If it hasn't installed the device ,
uninstall device and reboot then restart
device should autofind and self install
dont forget to reboot to save settings,
Do SP2 Updates and reboot,
