Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Working but no heat

I've cleaned the lint traps, checked the circut breaker - Help! Dryer runs but no heat. Vent pipe to outside very blocked. Cleaned vent. have about 9k Ohms across heating element, Thermal Fuse on Lint Duct Assembly is not open reads zero ohms across Thermal Fuse. Suspect Thermal Cutoff or Thermostat on Heater Box? Suspect Heater Element? Suspect Thermister on Lint Duct Assembly? Looking for guidence.

I have a model #LGR5636GQ1 that will not heat. I cleaned out all the dryer vents and suspected it was the dryer igniter since it did not glow through the peep hole. That did not fix it. I then got out the voltage meter and found that thermal fuse was bad and replaced it. Still not luck. I check for continuity on the cycling thermostat, flame sensor and high limit thermostat. All had continuity. I suspect maybe the gas solenoid valves but since the igniter won't glow, why replace them. Could there be something I have missed?

My dryer is running super hot, vent was cinched in back, blew the thermal fuse, replaced cleaned out and straightend vent, still running super hot. Won't give me a error reading but starts beeping. At a loss, is this the hi-low thermostat or the thermistor next to the fuse? Replaced heating element in October so I don't think I have a crack in it.

I would check the heating element for continuity around 1200 ohms but if its closed and gives u a reading u should still be ok. as for ur thermostats the thermal cut off 0 ohms is ok as long as it does not read infinity or open circuit? CHECK THE CYCLING AND THE HI LIMIT thermostats also. Another thing to consider is , is the machine getting a full 220 at the terminal may need to check for votage from the outlet and to the machine. If u get say only 110 you will have enough to run the machine but not enough to run the heater which uses a full 220 volts. earlier u said something bout ur heating testing ok ? you did get an ohm reading?

It sounds like your heating element is gone bad. there is no heat if they burn out or get corroded

Why wont whirlpool duet dryer model WED8300SW1 heat?

Is the dryer gas or electric? But you can also try cleaning the vent tube the pipe that goes outside also the pipe that goes into the dryer it's a good chance it's full of lint.

Whirlpool dryer ler7646eq1 will not heat

First the most obvious and you've most likely covered yourself look at the lint trap/if clogged clean thoroughly with vacuum cleaner pull out lint trap and **** up as far as deep as you can get some of the lint that you don't see and believe me there's a ton depending on your exhaust/vent type . Next go outside check the vent attached to the outside of home for clogs/lint buildup lastly here's a trick I've personally used SEVERAL TIMES on my old ge dryer if you have a LEAF BLOWER pull dryer out of the way and next go outside remove exhast vent usually 4 phippls screws going out next remove vent/trap outside go back inside and use the leaf blower to blow out all of the lint caught in the vent tube your be surprised how much was in there. HOPE this quick fix addresses your dryer issue if not its most likely the dryers thermostat they're fairly cheap online. Just trying to save you a buck friend. Have a good day Ryan in Minnesota

Hi, the dryer keeps stopping (the timer jumps), only runs for about 10 mins at a time AND the part that worries me the most is that I haven't had to empty the lint trap which I usually do after e

sounds like the vent tubing is not hooked up as it should be and that can cause a lot of lint buildup inside of the dryer parts. take it apart again and clean out all of the lint because this is a fire hazard. make sure that the vent is connected to the lint trap and try working it again. it sounds like maybe the buildup of lint is making the drying hard to do.

Gas dryer quit heating

Hi there,

Well if your dryer tumbles, but there is no heat then you may please check out the following -
1. First of all you can check out for proper air flow - Check the vent for proper air flow by placing your hand over the exterior vent while the dryer is running. You should feel a strong flow of air. If not then check the lint trap. It is located either on top of the dryer or possibly just inside the door. Remove any lint that has built up in the lint trap. Cleaning the lint trap should be done regularly, even as often as after every load. Do not operate the dryer without a lint trap in place.
2. Secondly you can check out the Ignitor - gas dryer blows air through a burner assembly to heat the air. The burner assembly consists essentially of a gas valve, ignitor and a flame sensor. If any part of the burner assembly malfunctions, the result will be low or no heat and slow drying of the clothes. Post comments for further help or information.....

Good Luck!!

Whirlpool duet electric dryer taking too long to dry

A1 Pull the dryer out away from the wall. Unhook the vent from the dryer completely. Do not put anything over the dryer exhaust on the back of the dryer. Do a normal load with the vent unhooked. If it dries better or ok like this then the problem is in the dryer venting. Like a blocked vent pipe or a smashed or restricted vent hose.
A2 - If the vent  doesn't make a difference, then check the blower wheel for excessive lint build up, check that there isn't anything stuck to the air intake baffle inside the drum, (i.e. the screen on the back wall of the dryer when looking into the drum). Check the lint filter chute for blockage. Check that the heating element isn't shorted to ground. Check the exhaust temperature of the dryer. A meat or pocket  thermometer can be used for this. It should cycle between 120 degrees and 170 degrees. Check that the drum seals to make sure the are not worn out.

Duet front loader dryer

Check the lint trap and the vent. If the vent is clogged or crushed in anyway then replace it with a new dryer vent.
There reasons why a dryer will not dry clothes:
Clogged Lint Trap
Crushed or clogged vent
Last but not your issue, not getting and heat to the unit due to glow ignitor bad or no gas supply or bad gas valve.
So check what I told you and this should fix the problem right away

My whirlpool duet dryer is taking 3 cycles to dry????

have you checked your lint trap to make sure that it is clean after every load? Also the lint vent to the outside may be clogged and will not let the dryer vent like it should. This is dangerous. So check and replace if needed.

Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Working but no heat

i need help fixing my 5 year old dryer. whirlpool duet model GEW9200LW1. I have replaced the thermistor. I tested (with an ohm meter) the heating coil, thermal fuse, high limit thermostat, & heating element and they were all fine. I replaced the electronic control assembly and the user interface. THE DRYER STILL WONT HEAT.
Then it occurred to me that the sensor may not allow the dryer to heat if its not sensing wet. Could this be true? Have I been trouble shooting this wrong?
Help me.
