Power tv up. D964 and D966 Turn on as well as Red LED D912. After a few Seconds. D946 and D939 Power on and then Red LED D912 Lights Bright and then Flashes all rest go Dead besides D912 Flashes. What would Cause this? The FlyBack?

My hitachi model number:55fx48b suddenly just stopped. I can unplug the tv, then turn it back on and red led light will come on for 2 seconds and shuts back off! Can you please help me

Hi, this is main board failure and you will need to replace this vital board. you power board is fine but, it is unable to send a proper current through the main mother board due to the damage at hand.
If you have Hitachi model number 50UX58B, 60UX58B, 50UX58K, 60UX58K, 50SBX78B or 60SBX78B and you have the following symptoms you may want to grab a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit that includes the parts and instructions to fix these models. This is a fairly common problem with the above model numbers. It is typically caused by a blown capacitor and pico fuse. Again, you can get a kit from the above address. Here are the symptoms...
Primary Symptom: No Audio or Video. Power light will come on briefly then shut off. Other Possible Symptoms : The green LEDs on the circuit board light up for a few seconds then turn off.
Matt, Hitachi`s have a series of green LED`s and one red LED on the main board, un-plug the tv for 30 seconds and then with the back cover removed plug the set back in and watch the led`s while someone else turns on the set, usually the led`s will temporarily light then one or more will immediately go out and then the rest will slowly go out and the red one will then start blinking, each led is a power supply indicator, 130 volt, 12 volt, 5 volt etcetera, find out which one(s) going out first and get back to me, BMW Rider
if the 120v never comes up, check e994 as it is probably open, and either the blue horizontal retrace cap infront of the h-out transistor is burnt/shorted or transistor could be.
