No. The S2 IS's lens is not designed to be removed. You can attach adapters in front of the lens, but you cannot remove the lens itself.

I want users manual for a Canon Powershot Digital Camera S2 IS

Canon has the documentation for the Powershot S2 IS on their product page. The Brochures and Manuals Page, http://usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_g_series/powershot_s2_is#BrochuresAndManuals , has the manuals for both the camera itself and many of the Canon Tools for the camera. The direct link to the User Manual for the Camera is http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/5/0900011235/01/PSS2ISCUG-EN.pdf .

If you have any problems with the direct link, start at the Canon Powershot link that I gave. You will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the manual.

I hope this helps.

Yes you can. But you have to visit a canon service center and order them to your lense.

Canon Powershot S2 Is

The lens has probably got something in the retraction mechanism that is stopping it retracting. This can be something as simple as sand or grit or as a result of a drop or knock. In most cases the camera will need to be stripped apart to remove the lens assy before it can be repaired. This is best left to a professional camera repair shop.

Cannon PowerShot S2 IS lens is stuck

I have the exact same problem, took it completely apart removed the zoom motor, physically turned the zoom gear and retracted the lens, reinstalled the motor, put it all back together, and found that I had the same problem and the lens wouldn't move out, so im pretty certain that the motor is bad, as the lens moves smoothly once the motor is not attached to it... looking for a replacement motor as i type...

I have a canon powershot s3 is. i have had it a little over a year. It has just started being slow between pics. I thought maybe I had adjusted a setting or something. Or maybe it is just slow. Do you know...

Backup the pictures on your camera and remove any additional extention lenses or attachments. (this can cause focusing delay hence slowing down the process) + Read your manual to find the factory reset option and do the same. will resolve your issue.

Please let me know how this worked

Zoom Lenses for Canon Powershot S2 SI

the s2 IS does not have a changeable lens. i suggest you look for telephoto converters . they attach to your lens and increase the magnification thus boosting your zoom ability. try this link from ebay http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_nkwZcanonQ20s2Q20telephotoQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZR40QQ_mdoZ

Lens not moving

Send to the service center, this is probably related to the lenses drive train step motor or the step motor position sensor. If it does not work, buy a S3. Good luck.

Lense cover keeps falling off

The spring must have grown tired, or displaced. If you don?t want to loose it in the meantime, you can glue a string one side to the cover and one side to the camera?s body using small points of super glue. But a more creative solution would be to get to a cannon selling shop and nag them to help you get a new one, or go to a second hand shop and look for a standard cover that?s a good fit for your lense.
