How do i set the alarm on my ihome alarm dock?
Once the time is correct, users can move on to setting the alarm itself. Many iHome systems come with dual alarms allowing couples to set different times for each person or individuals to designate a weekday and weekend alarm. Each alarm has its own time, wake-to source, and frequency. The process of setting the alarm is the same for both options, the only difference is what button, either 1 or 2, users depress when setting it.
Once ready to set an alarm, users need to push and hold the button down, waiting for the alarm time to appear on the clock's display. From there, the up and down arrows or plus and minus buttons adjust the time backwards or forwards accordingly. Once that is complete, users select the frequency of the alarm by pressing the alarm button again and then opting for 7, 5, or 2, which correlates with all week, weekdays, and weekends respectively.
The final part to set is the wake source of the alarm. Users press alarm buttons one more time, and then use the same directional buttons to choose from iPhone and iPad on some models, radio, buzzer, or playlist. If users choose playlist, they must also setup a playlist within their Apple device titled iHome.
Because frequency is part of the alarm setting process, there is no need to turn on the iHome alarm manually as one would do with a normal alarm clock. However, users can check to see if the alarm is active by looking at the screen of the clock for the earliest alarm time, displayed on its lower part.
In the mornings, when the alarm sounds, users have two options: Snooze and disarm. The disarm process turns off the alarm until the next day in its frequency chain. Users disarm the alarm by pressing the power button. On the other hand, users must manually program the snooze button. Users do this by pressing and holding the snooze button and then toggling to the desired snooze time, generally between one and 29 minutes. Once this is set, users simply press the snooze button in the mornings to delay the replay of the alarm for that amount of time.
