First, read the instructions. You can always find them on the phone manufacturer's or you cell provider's websites. If you can't find or understand the instructions, contact your cell provider or go to one of their stores for help.

Second, listening to the entire voicemail should make the "new voice mail" message go away. Sometimes they get "stuck" which usually can be fixed by removing the battery and then putting it back in. If that doesn't work the problem is probably at the cell phone company so give them a call.

I bought a watch for my grandson. It had no instructions. It is from China MFG# FMDAW549. Are there directions available

Possibly these instructions:

http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=110449&rid=0

DIGITAL WATCH USER INSTRUCTIONS May 27, 2006 - 05:59 PM On 5/26/2006 I bought from Walmart a $6.43 watch, on the back of which is written "AH 1175, 52, Battery CR2025, China Module, FMD, Base Metal Bezel, Stainless Steel Back, 100ft Water Resistant". It has no control buttons on top (where buttons may be accidentally pushed), the display is larger and more visible, and the color is dark, so I bought it even though I prefer models that have a fabric/velcro wrist-strap.
Four buttons on this watch are labelled: Light, Mode, Reset, and St/Sp. The instructions which I found inside its container refer to the Light button as A, the Mode button as B, the Reset button as C, and the Start/Stop button as D, but otherwise do not pertain to the watch, so I determined the button's functions by trial and error, as follows:
--
TO SELECT THE DISPLAY MODE
Push the Mode Button in order to select one of the following four display modes in the following order: Normal Time, Stop Watch, Alarm Reset, Time Reset.
In the Normal Time Mode, the Day of Week, the Hour, Minute and Second are displayed (none flash). If the Alarm and Hourly Chime icons are not displayed, the Alarm and Hourly Chime are turned off.
--
TO DISPLAY DAY OF WEEK, HOUR, MINUTE, SECOND AND WHETHER THE ALARM AND HOURLY CHIMES ARE ON:
Push the Mode button until no icon is flashing. The Alarm and Hourly Chimes are off if no Alarm or Chime icon is displayed beside the Second display.
--
TO DISPLAY THE DAY, MONTH AND DAY OF WEEK AND WHETHER THE ALARM AND HOURLY CHIMES ARE ON:
In Normal Time Mode, push the Start/Stop button. The Alarm and Hourly Chimes are off if no Alarm or Chime icon is displayed.
--
TO DISPLAY THE ALARM TIME
In Normal Time Mode, push the Reset button. The P or A beside the Alarm Time indicates PM or AM time. The P or A below the Alarm Time indicates a 12 hour clock; an H indicates a 24 hour clock.
--
TO STOP/START THE ALARM AND HOURLY CHIMES
In Normal Time Mode, hold the Start/Stop button down and push the Reset button (the Date and Day of Week will be displayed) to turn the preset Alarm and Hourly Chimes on, or off (to save the battery). To test the alarm, hold the Reset button down. The alarm and chimes are off when the alarm and chimes icons are not displayed.
--
TO STOP THE HOURLY CHIME
In Normal Time Mode, hold down the Reset button (the Alarm Time will be displayed) and push the Mode button until the Day of Week display is no longer highlighted; otherwise the hourly chime drains the battery.
--
TO SET THE TIME
To Fast/Forward until the correct number is displayed, hold the Start/Stop button down.
To set the Month of the Year, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Month of the Year number flashes; push the Start/Stop button until the correct Month of the Year is displayed and push the Reset Button.
To set the Day of Month, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Day of Month number flashes; push the Start/Stop button until the correct Day of Month is displayed and push the Reset Button.
To set the Day of Week, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Day of Week display flashes; push the Start/Stop button to until the correct Day of Week is displayed and push the Reset Button.
To set the Hour, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Hour number flashes; push the Start/Stop button until the correct Hour is displayed and push the Reset Button. For a 24 hour clock, push the reset button until an H is displayed. For a 12 hour clock, push the reset button until an A or P is displayed.
To set the Second, select the Time Reset Mode and push the Reset button until the Second number flashes. The Second number resets to Zero everytime the Start/Stop button is pushed. If the Start/Stop button is pushed as soon as the Second hand on your computer and watch are the same, the watch will be accurate to one second (to set your computer time to the second, log on to the Internet, right click on your PC's time display, select ADJUST DATE/TIME, INTERNET TIME, UPDATE NOW). The setting of the Second number will not be affected by setting the Minute number afterwards.
After the Second number is set, set the Minute number by selecting the Time Reset Mode and pushing the Reset button until the Minute number flashes; push the Start/Stop button until the correct Minute is displayed and push the Reset Button.
--
TO SET THE ALARM TIME AND TURN ON THE ALARM
Choose the Alarm Reset Mode. The alarm is turned on everytime the Alarm time is reset.
To select the Hour, push the Start/Stop button while the Hour is flashing and until the correct Hour is displayed, then push the Reset button (the Alarm and Hourly Chime icons will appear).
To select the Minute, push the Start/Stop button while the Minute is flashing and until the correct Minute is displayed, then push the Reset button.
Push the Mode button after the correct Alarm Time has been selected. The Alarm and Hourly Chime icons will be displayed beside the Second numbers.
The P icon indicates PM. The A icon indicates AM. The H icon indicates a 24 hour clock.
--
TO USE THE STOP WATCH
Choose the Stop Watch Mode. Push the Start/Stop button to begin the lap time. To pause the Stop Watch push the Start/Stop button to stop it and push it again to continue. To reset the Stop Watch to zero, stop the lap time by pushing the Start/Stop button, then push the Reset button (otherwise the Stop Watch will continue counting after other Modes are selected).

use the menu to select the clock ( if you have caller ID, the phone sets the date and time automatically)
enter the date and time, select AM or PM use CID/RIGHT to move the cursor past a digit without changing it
to confirm, press MENU/SELECT
to get a wrong day of the week it can only happen if the wrong year is appearing because if you want Jan 30 2016 it will come up as Saturday but if the year is 2015 it will have the wrong day for the 30 Jan

My Model # is 27957FE 1-A Dont know how to reset

To set the time and date, start at the base unit. Then press the Flash/Program until Set Day appears on the display. Press the Review or Next button to select the day of the week. Then press Flash/Program again until SetTime appears in the display. Type in the time (hour (two digits) then minute (again two digits)) with the keypad number buttons. Then press Review or Next to select AM/PM. Press Flash/Program to store the information.

Please note that if you have Caller ID, the time and day transmitted with the caller ID information from your phone company will override the day and time you have set.

The manual is available here: http://www.home-electronics.net/USER-GUIDES/27957_DOM_ES_CL_IB.pdf . See page 15 for this.

I hope this helps.

I have a Rainbow RB1 watering controller and I need to understand how to program it to only come on one day a week. I have done the start times and stations but am unable to find out how to select only one...

Hi Andy, I think I have found a solution to your problem. With the time and day set, clear the program for each station by selecting Start 1, station 1, off, and repeat for each station. Then select Start 1, Station 1 and hold down the Day button. The Mon for Week 1 of the cycle should appear. Then if you hold down the Off button, the Mon will scroll down to your allocated watering day of week 1 eg Sat. Then, Hold down the Day button again until the next day appears eg Sun in my example above. If you again hold down the Off button, that Sun will scroll through to your allocated day of the week in Week 2. Hope this helps. Next job will be to change it when restrictions change in summer! Round button in middle quits working.

Sounds like you may not be selecting the right menu buttom. The soft keys are right below the screen. these three buttons function change depending on which screen you are viewing. I have copied the instructions from the manual below. You must select phonebook to view the phone book using the round button. You must select volume to change the volume with the round button.

The Standby Screen
When the phone is in standby, the handset display shows the following items:
Handset
Ringer off icon (when the ringer is off)/ day of the week and time / battery iconHandset ID and BannerNumber of new Caller ID calls received (If there are no new Caller ID messages, the Handset ID appears here.) SUN 12:00A Handset #1 New CID: 5REDIALMENU
Using the Four-way Function Key
Your handset has a four-way function key that allows you to move the cursor (or highlighted area) on the display and access the most commonly used features at the touch of a button. By moving this key to the left, you open the Phonebook. Move the key to the right to access Caller ID information. To use this four-way key, place your thumb over the key on the station and move to the four positions to get the feel of how it moves and operates.
Using the Handset Menu
To open the menu, press the MENU soft key. Highlight the option you want by pressing the four-way function key. This will move the cursor; the option currently highlighted appears in reversed out text. Select the highlighted option by pressing the OK soft key. To exit the menu and return to standby, press [].
If you do not press a key within 30 seconds, the phone will time out and exit the menu. When setting Date and Time, the time-out period is extended to two minutes.
Note: For GLOBAL SETUP and DEREGISTRATION menu options, make sure the line is not in use and the handsets are within range of the base. 123abcdefView the phonebook Four-way Function KeyUpView the Caller IDDown123abcdefView •

Blue light

Press the mute/program button, then press the caller ID-volume button to select handset setup (then press mute/program again to select this option). Next press tye caller ID-volume until you get to Default settings (its the last setting so pressing the up arrow is the fastest way to it). Press the mute/program button again to select the option. Use the caller ID-volume button to select 1yes. This will return the phone to the factory settings and for took care of the blinking blue light, however you will loose any custom setting or numbers you entered.

The first time I did this it didn't work, so I did again and toward the end of the steps above the phone beeped at me and stated "Reset Default Settings" (or something like that) then time I hit the mute/program button again and everything worked great. I think that last beep maybe have been a are you sure you want to restore to default question.

Remember tis will erase any custome settings you made on the phone (ring tones, ring volume, memory, etc.)
