FiOS TV remote control

My Verizon FiOS remote controller stopped working. Could have been dropped, I don't know but none of the buttons light up and it will not operate the tv or the stb. I have changed the batteries, still no luck.

I have two set boxes, the one downstairs doesn't work. Tried new batteries, can't reprogram because remote doesn't light up. Don't know what else to try besides replacing it. Can't even find out how to accomplise

that. Meanwhile I am still paying rent for this item.

How to get volume control on my FIOS remote with Samsung TV?

Re: How can I get the volume control on my FiOS remote to change the volume on my AV receiver?
  1. Hold down the STB button on your remote control, and press OK. Release both buttons.
  2. Key in 9-5-5.
  3. Press the device button whose volume you want to control by default (in this case, AUX).
  4. Press OK.

Verizon fios remote codes for samsung receiver

I have the Samsung Sound Bar WS1R model. I tried all of the Samsung codes; TV, audio receiver, and audio amplifier. The DVD code 3918 worked for my Verizon FiOS remote. Program it to your AUX button and it will control the volume while your other buttons; channel, menu, etc work the set top box. I hope it works for you too!

I have tried to program my FiOS Verizon remote control to recognize my Proscan HD TV so that I don't have to use two remote devices. I don't like using two remotes and my Proscan remote control is so...

Thank you. I did solve my problem with some diligence. The instructions from Verizon were correct. I realized that there are two buttons on the Verizon universal remote that look alike - the "play" arrow and the "fast forward" double arrow. Once I used both of these buttons in the proper sequence, reprogramming the TV remote with the new code worked.

NEED REMOTE CODE

Go on the Verizon website and request a new remote, the Verizon P265 Remote model. It will have all the newest firmware and it should have the code. I know this because I had a TCL 32" TV and the code wasn't on my old Philips RC 1445302 model. TV and new remote are "talking" just fine now. Verizon won't even want the old one back.

FIOS remote with Olevia 532B12

I just got FIOS and had an Olevia 237 TV. Tried the LG, Phillips, RCA and Yamaha codes, no luck so I tried this:

- press and hold TV key
- still holding TV key, press the OK key and release both, device keys blink
- press 922
- point remote at TV and press play button
- press next button (two arrows pointing to right) about 325 times until the TV goes off.

Remote controls power, volume, input, and aspect.

Code for Verizon FIOS remote Control

I have a solution which has worked well for me. It uses the DVD button at the top of the remote. It was a trade-off as none of the codes in the RC144 Philips remote will work any Blu-ray players, so the DVD button was unassigned. The 922, 955 and 977 codes are explained in the directions for the FIOS remote. http://onlinehelp.verizon.net/consumer/bin/pdf/philips%20rc1445302%20user%20guide.pdf
1. Set up your TV button to work your TV.
2. Set up your Onkyo code, pick one to turn on the receiver. I used 3719
3. Use the 9-2-2 code to cycle through all available codes. At about a count of 300 I found one which will turn the Onkyo receiver off. Make sure you start this process with the ONKYO receiver already on. Once you find it press the OK button.
4. Use the 9-7-7 code to power all devices TV, AUX and DVD from the power button.
In this way, each time the power button is pressed it will send both the power on and power off signal to the ONKYO receiver.
This technique works well when you point the remote at the ONKYO receiver and press power button. Apparently the TV has better reception for the signal then the ONKYO does.
