Is the replacement supply exactly the same as the old one?.
Please don't just keep trying random fixes until you've spent more money than it's worth. Research the problem online, and if that fails, there are still some good TV repairmen out there, but it may take a lot of digging.

take your tv back to the supplier you bought it from let them rectify the problem.i suppose that your tv is still under warranty.good luck.

We had bought the extended warranty, so we took it back and got a new TV of a different brand. We had to pay the difference, but it was worth it. The warranty even carried over to the new TV.

I had a pwer supply for my Protron 32 inch TV that was not working. I bought the one on ebay and it stopped working after only three weeks. Ultimately I found a guy who could fix my original power supply for a reasonable price. It been working for a year now with no problems. I wish I would have tried him first!!!! I found someone who is able to repair the adapter. I came real close to just chunking the thing, but someone from this board, I think, told me about him. I emailed it to him and within the week he'd fixed it. Below is his name and email address:
