HAVE PANASONIC CD STEREO SYSTEM. SA CH84M. WHEN POWER APPLIED GET F61 IN DISPLAY. SELECT ANY OTHER MODE SAYS GOODBYE.
ITS POSSIBLE UNIT HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO POWER SURGE.
Yes, it is possible. The F61 error is a failure in the power supply or the amplifier. I repair these every day and it will require good soldering and troubleshooting skills to fix this yourself.
If you would like to try, let me know, and I will give you more information. But the best thing to do is take it to a service center and let a professional technician check it out for you.

If you do not know what an audio output IC is, what would ordering one do for you? And unless you have the know how and special gear there is no freaking way you could ever replace it.
Either have someone repair it for you or go shopping.
As sugested by many experts.I replaced the ic no rsn311w 64d,still the error code f61 appears. Now where is the fault.? this is for the Panasonic sa-ht 880.
Your Panasonic SA-VX uses a Switch Mode Power Supply ( SMPS ). Do not ever attempt to fix it yourself unless you are well versed in electronics. ou can damage the system seriously. Seek professional help.
F61 is an Error Code......it's basically indicating that something inside the stereo is malfunctioning or broken.
the stereo has gone into Protection mode.....could mean there is Direct Current on one of the output rails....most likely the Power Amplifier IC in your Stereo has gone bad....a new one should solve this problem....you'll need to send it in to Panasonic for replacement of the faulty parts.
Hi, i had the same problem with a panasonic player, when you see the code F61 in the screen it is because the audio output IC is defective, change that and the set will work perfectly. hope it work.
