If you do not know your wifi SSID, mostly it is printed on a label on the wifi device, together with default password. To prevent being hacked it is best to login to the wifi device and change this password to one only you know.

You can only connect to free WiFi sites.
It is very difficult to crack a secured WiFi site/network.

Its very illegal to perform hacking wifi just as it is hacking a pc. what you need is a 4gb pin drive and your own wifi hacking program application. I dont know how to do it but thats just the materials you need. be careful what your going to do. The law is, as long as that person paid for the internet bills and you use their internet as much as them, you have to pay 5x as much. and they can sue you for it to top it off.

It was made way back before WEP was hacked.
Now anyone who wants a secure WiFi network is using WPA2.
Change the WiFi access point to WEP encryption and try to connect.
