Dell optical wireless mouse locking

Hello,
I have a Dell wireless Keyboard and mouse.
The mouse is locking meaning that if I move the mouse, the cursor stand still. I have to left click to unlock the cursor.
The mouse will lock after a dozen minutes of inactivity.
Any idea? This happen sometime after I had to change the battery and resynch the mouse.

If your mouse is "locking" the two most likely causes are either due to a battery issue or a connection issue. The first is unlikely since you're saying it started just after you replaced the battery, but you might want to try again if you have other new batteries around that you can use. Also you could try Re-Pairing (if you have the bluetooth wireless keyboard/mouse combo that dell offers) the keyboard and mouse after reboot. step by step Instructions for re-pairing or fixing a corrupted are should be available on the Dell support website and vary depending on the exact model you have.

I have an older RT7040 wireless board/mouse. How can I make it display numlock/caps lock/insert on?

We just purchased the same keyboard for our son. We have a USB receiver to establish connection between the mouse and the keyboard. On the receiver are two icons, one with an "A" for Caps Lock and one with a "9" for Numbers lock. Hope that helps!

Having replaced batteries on a Dell mouse and keyboard, switched on keyboard and mouse not working. Dell support window says both connected? Cannot move mouse to acknowledge message saying that new device...

If the keyboard is working, try the "tab" key or a combination of the "tab" and "shift, ctl or alt" key.
You should be able to move the cursor to highlight to Ok message, then hit return.

My son moved the dell wireless keyboard and mouse from our home computer to use in his room now I cannot get it to work on our home computer again. Help

Please follow the bellow steps to setup the wireless mouse and keyboard again.
1) Check whether the batteries are working in the both device.

2) Connect the 3rd kit with the PC in the USB port (receiver).

3) Press the knob for wireless activation on the receiver along with the same of the keyboard (back side of the keyboard) for 4-5 seconds. It will activate keyboard.

4. Now press the wireless knob of the keyboard as well as of the mouse - mouse will start to work along with keyboard.

Hope the solution will work fine.

I had to replace the battery in my desktop, and now the wireless mouse and keyboard do not work

I think you mean the battery on wireless Keyboard. There is a reset button or connect button underneath your wireless keyboard. Press it and try to connect your wireless keyboard

Explain wireless keyboard wireless mouse

You just plug the usb adapter for the wireless keyboard and mouse into the computer and run the install disk. Wireless just means that the device sends signals to the recieving devices.

My Dell wireless mouse froze, arrow in middle does not move

You will need to link the keyboard and mouse back up with the receiver. There will be a button on the bottom of the receiver that you push first and then the keyboard and mouse buttons to get everything synced up. It should work after that, providing that the receiver is plugged in still.

Hope this helps,

Eric

Wireless Optical mouse compatible with Dell

I think every wireless optical mouse is compatible, because an usb receiver comes with the mouse.
Just go to your local store, or a computer webshop and buy one
