Have like black shadow lines about 3 to 4 inches wide on my screen

Dark shadows can show up on a TV screen when the images have been displayed for a vert long time and have now become stuck in the LCD and the screen for your TV . Or the LCD and the TV's screen might be broken for your TV and needs to be replaced.

Seeing a dark shadow on the right side of my samsung lcd screen (LN-T4669F). it starts with a black flickering lines on the right side when turned on, which usually goes away after 5 mins. But the dark...

According to your observation in the black flickering lines this fault is from your t-con board there may be a loosed solder or cold solder from the t-con or to the logic board. This kind of trouble is fixable but it should be done in actual testing of the unit to be sure where the fault is. I suggest that you should contact a technician to do it for you and save you from stress. Good day and best regards.

The picture has a shadow

you're LCD panel is gone. To replace it...$1500-$2K. But there is a silver lining to this dark cloud. No pun intended. Sony has posted on the US and Canadian site they will repair the XBR4 at no cost! i have the link right here. http://www.sony.ca/view/882.htm Canadian. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/news-item.pl?news_id=378&mdl=KDL46XBR4 USA.

It claims its the 46" but it appears to be a 40-52" problem. If you have an extended warranty it will pay for it.

Shadows on screen

Try moving a medium powered magnet (not one for picking up heavy objects and not a refrigerator holding one) over the distorted area. If that doesn't work, try a more powerful one. This worked for my Toshiba LCD. Good luck!

Dark vertical shadows

No,you can't. This is very common. I bought a new tv and i noticed right away that it had the problem you are mentioning. I took it back for an exchange and the next tv did not have this problem...until a year later. Now,of course it does have this problem, but it is out of warranty.

I think they make televisions very poorly today.

Left side of television just started having a shadowing problem?

I have the same problem and was told by a technician that I need to replace the light engine. Probably around $ 700.00.
