MY GIRLFRIEND HAS A 2000 BUIK REGAL WITH REMOTE START ,DONT KNOW WHAT BRAND BUT IT SEEMS TO START BY ITSELF. IT HAPPENS QUITE OFTEN AND AT DIFFERENT TIMES AND PLACES,WITHOUT THE ROMOTE EVEN IN THE AREA. NEED TO KNOW WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS AND WHAT IF ANY ACTION I CAN TAKE TO DISABLE. IT HAS DONE THIS SO MANY TIMES IN ONE NIGHT IT BURNE 1/4 TANK OF GAS

Check your owners guide in the options category. Sometimes there is an option that is temperature related. Example: once outside temp reaches -25deg C the remote start will start the vehicle every 2 hours. Some times there is an on/off switch for this and some times it has to be changed in the programming of the remote start. I have seen them where they are set to start every 30 minutes when it reaches a cretain temp. There sould be somewhere on the module itself where it tells you the brand of remote start, try to find that and check their website or let me know and I might be able to help you further.
