Sanyo,SA-21SA1 Lominous,LA 76818A (jungle IC),standby mode only,ok H-Out.No High Voltage or Oscillation, what components to be check and replace? Thanks.

Check for the oscillation signal at the base terminal of the horizontal output transistor. If it is OK, check and replace the horizontal output transistor. Even though it measure OK, some of them might not function well. Check this. If there is no horizontal drive signal at its base terminal, check and replace the horizontal drive transistor, horizontal driver transformer etc:

b) of course, assuming the horizontal deflection oscillator works, same

with the horizontal drive and horizontal output transistor

it would generate output voltages on the secondary terminals

and 200V line will be active sending voltages to the

Video Drive circuits. Of course high voltage will be generated

ranging to at least 30 KV and there will be voltages on the G2 of the tube.

c) the easiest test point to look when it is oscillating, is the CRT heater

voltage, the heater lit when flyback is good ( mostly at night times when it

is dark ) and you can hear sounds, too.

d) having a B+ voltage reading of 75 V or lesser ( primary pins )

indicates a bad or partially shorted flyback, assuming your

horizontal output transistor and power supply are good & OK.

These only applies to CRT type TV's.

Sanyo dp46849 no power

It is probably the power supply in you tv
it is close to the power inlet of the tv
look for capacitor s that are bold on top that means they are blown out
on one side there is a line with a - on it make pictures of it so you know with way to putt a new one back in it must be the same value microforat voltage schould be the same or higher

Computer chip

There is no "color chip" on Sanyo DP46849.

Perhaps it will be better if you explain what the problem is and let us try and diagnose the source of the problem.

Sanyo LCD no power

Hello, the problem could arise from one or two faulty components, but you have to open the back cover of the television and check for the fuse if it is blown up , and if blown up replace with the same rating. Since you have no ideas on television you can contact the manufacturer, but likely component that may go bad are the capacitors, power transistors and regulators...

Hi, that probly a power supply plroblem, or a high voltage regulator and the horizontal transistor that drive the high voltage transformer at a high frequency (15.000 hz )if you think you can trouble shoot that ok; if not ask a friend who you no he nows about trouble shooting in tv. or you can go to a repai r shop should not cost to high half hour + parts
Beware high voltage in there(30 thousand volts
hope that help you

TV won't come on

If still under warranty or if you have no electronic repair experience you should take the set back to the shop or to a repair person. Some of the solutions described below can be dangerous, TV's are very hazardous to service. Even when plugged out, TV's can store very high voltages. This is probably a startup problem. It may be as simple as an open resistor that provides initial drive to the horizontal deflection. Check for power to the horizontal output transistor. If there is, check for drive. Could also be a bad flyback transformer. Another problem might be that the set is in high voltage shutdown, possibly due to a faulty voltage regulator. Check the regulated voltage going to the flyback primary (it should be marked on the circuit board what that voltage should be... 120V-140V in most TV's). If it is too low, the flyback transformer or one of its secondaries is probably loading down the primary input. If the voltage is too low, try disconnecting the secondaries. If the voltage remains too low, try disconnecting the primaries too. If the voltage is then normal, the flyback is bad. A REALLY bad flyback will also blow a fuse. don't leave the TV on too long with a shorted flyback, the h. output transistor can get too hot and probably fry, if it isn't fried already. If the primary voltage is too high, then the set is probably in high voltage shutdown, possibly caused by the voltage regulator. Good luck, and stay away from it if you haven't done this before. Take it to a lab if it's worth the repair.
