Sony DSC-P32 Memory Stick Error, "C:13:01"? When I went to review pics on memory card, camera would not scroll through and it would immediately shut off. Assuming it was the batteries, I exchanged them for new one's. Then, when turned camera on, I got the above error reading. Reviewed manual and reset per instructions. Upon turning camera on, still was receiving same error message. Please help.

Hi,

The C:13:01 error code is the self diagnosis display of the camera to identify the cause of the issue with the Camera. This error code indicates the issue with the medium used in the Camera. You can try few steps to check if the issue can be resolved.
Try using different Memory Stick in the Camera.
Make sure that the Memory Stick used is compatible with the Camera. (The maximum capacity that can be used in the Camera is of 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo.)
Format the Memory Stick in the Camera and check if it works. (Formatting the Memory Stick will delete all the files saved in it).
This may happen if the files in the Memory Stick is damaged or corrupted.
Try turning the camera power off and on.
Remove and re-insert the Memory Stick several times.
Insert another Memory Stick in the Camera to check if the issue is with the particular Memory Stick.
Try resetting the Camera and check if it helps. To reset the Camera, press the RESET button located inside the jack cover using a sharp pointed object.

If the issue happens with different Memory Sticks after performing all the steps, service may be required.

Hi,
Your Sony camera is designed to use only memory stick PRO DUO with maximum memory 8 GB. It will not accept other memory cards. If you have been use memory stick pro duo and still request you to re-insert card. Remove your card and re-insert firmly. Regards

Camera screen displays ''no memory stick'' when memory stick is inserted. my card reader reads same memory stick perfectly.

There is problem with memory stick jack. You need to clean jack .if not ok then there is problem with wire which is attached with main board. For this work need to open your camera.

I dropped my Panasonic Lumix camera and now it won't read any memory stick - it states all pictures will be recorded in the built in memory (holds only 10 pics or so). Any chance this can be fixed for less...

With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and try it. You may have to format the card as well so download any pics from it first using a card reader if necessary.
