On calling up the internet using our USRobotics 56K Faxmodem USB, I get on the net. At almost the same time, however, these messages appear: (a) "USRobotics Internet Call Notification cannot find a valid modem! Please install your modem!" and (b) "EAccess Violation." What should I do to get rid of these messages?

Your modem was installed several times in the past and/or you have tried to attach the USB interface of the modem to other USB ports of your PC.

Corrective procedure to remove messages is to uninstall all instances of your modem in your Device Manager including the hidden ones (View/Show Hidden Devices). Thereafter it is a matter of re-installing once and always connect the modem to the same USB port.

I would recommend you attempt to first remove your model software from the pc, first make sure you have the cd / or other drivers for it.

when you have all that removed. Reinstall the software.

That should get rid of the error messages.
