Hi. I have a B2250 and the shaft that the paddle sits on comes right out so the paddle drags on the bottom on the bottom of the pan. It looks like the washer that holds it in place is shot
Thanks for the reply. I kind of thought that may be the issue . I will order a new pan Thanks AgainThanks for the reply. I kind of thought that may be the issue . I will order a new pan

If you baked bread in it and cannot get the paddle free, put enough water in the pan to cover the paddle and let it set for 5 or 10 min to soak the bread crust that formed between the shaft and the paddle. Then take a hold of the shaft on bottom of pan with hand or pliers to hold it still and try to work the paddle clockwise with other hand until it becomes unwedged from shaft. Sometimes it gets wedged on shaft pretty tight due to the beating against dough ball and cooked bread holds it tightly wedged.
Hi, The leaking is from the sealed bearing that the paddle shaft rotates on. It wears out over time. It can not be repaired and you will need a new bread pan. Sorry Hank
Hi, The paddle should turn freely by hand with the bread pan out of the machine. Make sure the pan is inserted in the machine correctly. If the motor shaft turns but the paddle doesn't then the sealed bearing that the paddle rotates on has failed and is frozen so the paddle does not turn.. You may need a new bread pan. Hank
Hi, Keep the bread pan out of the machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window and see if the motor shaft is turning. If no...then the belt fell off. If the motor spins, check to make sure the paddle spins freely. Keep pan out and turn paddle by hand. If no then the bearing is frozen. If that's ok..make sure you inserted the pan correctly into machine. If everything checks out then it's a faulty machine. Before you do anything send it out for warranty service. Usually it's warranted for a year. Hank
Not quite sure what you mean about rotating shaft, but if you take the bread pan out of the machine and try to turn the paddle by hand and it doesn't move, then the sealed bearing in the bread pan is jammed or broken. Try filling it up with warm water and soaking it for a while. If it doesn't budge after a few tries then the bearing is broken and a new bread pan is needed. If on the other hand it does move, keep the pan out and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window and check to see if the motor shaft is turning. If not then the belt inside the machine is snapped, or fell off, or the motor is broken. Good Luck...Hank
Hi, Thank you for visiting Fixya. The tab you speak of is called the paddle. The paddle sits on a shaft that is pressed into a sealed bearing. This shaft is not supposed to move in the bearing. If the shaft moves the bearing will lose it's seal and lubricating fluid (oil) will leak out. The snap ring, bearing, and shaft are put together before they are installed into the pan. If you can't fit the ring back onto the shaft so the shaft doesn't move, then you should hunt around for a new bread pan. P.S. Putting soapy warm water in the pan and letting it sit for a while will free up the paddle so it lifts off the shaft. Also lubricating the shaft with a squirt of olive oil will help stop the paddle from sticking on the shaft. Good Luck...Hank
Hello LT, There is a sealed bearing and shaft on the bottom of the bread pan that the paddle sits on. Submerging the whole pan in water may have caused water to seep into the bearing on the bottom of the pan, or the whole pan might be worn. Slight resistant in 2 places on 360 degree is not bad. Let everything dry out and we will try a few things. First, put the paddle in the empty pan and place it in the machine. Start a kneading cycle and look trough the lid to see if the paddle is spinning freely and with smooth motion 360 degrees. Watch it until you are sure it will run freely for the entire cycle. If it does not run freely, stop the machine and take the pan out. Now start the kneading cycle again with the pan out and look at the motor shaft at the bottom of the machine to see it it is running freely. If it is running freely, then the problem is with the pan, and the pan needs replacement. If the motor shaft is not turning freely, then the belt is slipping in the machine and needs to be replaced. If everything runs smoothly check the kneading time to make sure your mix has enough time to knead correctly. Hank
Hi, The shaft is pressed into a bearing that is molded and stamped in the bottom of the pan. This bearing is sealed and allows the shaft and paddle to spin freely. The rest of the parts on the other end of the shaft interact with the motor on your machine. They do wear out and can not be repaired because the worn parts are not available individually.
Sorry to say there are no repairable parts, so it's time for a new bread pan. I don't know the brand of your machine so you can google or check ebay.
Hi, It seems the kneading paddle isn't spinning. Clean out the pan and take it out of the machine. Put the paddle on the shaft and see it it spins freely. If it does not, then the shaft is stuck or the bearing is frozen.
Next keep the pan out of the machine and start the bread maker up. Look through the clear top and see if the shaft is spinning. If not then the drive belt is broken.
If paddle is okay, and belt is okay, then the motor is broken. Hank
