Speed Queen frontloader door is locked, it had a drain error, after everything was reset, door is still locked, how do I manually unlock the door on one of these machines?

Bad connection to power of the fill switch or not airtight to the hose on it.

There is an unlock switch on the inside of the door. It is necessary to remove the bottom panel to reach it. Once the panel is removed, reach up to the door latch and feel for a pull tab. Pull it down and the door will unlock.

you would hold down cancel or stop for 5 seconds usually the cancel option puts the unit into drain in which after it finishes draining it would unlock the door on the other hand if you had a door switch error and your unit was a frontload washer and you are unable to get into the unit even after the unit has stopped you would remove the lower panel on the machine and reach up along the side that has the door lock there would be a small cord with a round circle on the end by pulling this cord down this also unlocks the door this 2nd par is only for a frontload washer if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations Thanks

This is a door lock error. The control is not seeing that the door was locked.
Try pushing the door closed where the door strike is. If this does not work you may nee to adjust the door strike.

Check Motor capcitors!

I had this problem. What I did is replace the door latch. Then disconnected the machine over night, then everything was fine. I waited over night because i couldn't get rid of the door error every time I reconnected the washer. I think i read that you have to have the machine disconnected at least a minute. Another thing you may want to look at is the locking mechanism and switch. I recommend starting with the latch and switch. they're the cheapest parts to replace.

I too, had the same issue with the door not opening. My solution was to unplug the power cord and then plug it back in and press the green button's as if to start a cycle and while it starts putting water into the washer I put my knee and weight into the door lock area and held pressure from my knee and press the red stop button until the lights went out, and I took my knee off the door lock area and opened the door!!! No taking off the lower panel.
