My Bosch smu 3036 will not turn on. The ON/Off button compresses but does not turn red and nothing happens. I have tried turning the dial around again, but the button will not do anything.

I have the same problem on my Bosch SMU3036 dishwasher. I have determined that the problem is likely a failed contact on the on-off selector switch part (it's the module that contains those 4 mechanical buttons). I believe that the main contact is still working and that the failed contact simply connect all components to neutral. The proper fix would be to replace the entire on/off switch 4-button module. A cheap fix would be to have a handy person install a jumper from any brown wire to the neutral wire (white) where the power connects. I believe the only side effect is that you'll never see the orange ON indication when the dishwasher is running. The on/off switch should still work.

Actual problem was not the switch module. I later found that the wires got pinched where they pass through the hinge area at the bottom of the door. Replaced the damaged wires with new and it works good as new (with no jumper).

Bosch maxx 5 washing machine has stopped working , display showing 0-77

Try resetting the washer and see if it was a glitch.

1. With the power on press and hold down the start button.

2. While still holding the button down turn the dial one click anti-clockwise (15 minute cycle on mine)

3. If it shows '8888' on the display then skip to step 5, if it shows 'E3' turn the dial back to the off position.

4. Press and hold the start button down and again turn the dial one click anti-clockwise (15 minute cycle on mine)

5. With '8888' now displaying hold the start button in for 1 minute.

6. Stop pressing the start button.

7. Return the dial to the off position.

Bosch washing machine 1200 express wont work F63 fault. How can we correct and reset

Error code F63 indicates an issue with the main PCB - a control board failure.
Try to reset that control board, please follow the steps below:
  1. Turn the program dial to the off or reset position (should be at the 12 o'clock position)
  2. Turn the dial to the 6 o'clock position
  3. Press and hold down on the spin button and simultaneously turn the dial to the 7 o'clock position.
  4. Hold the spin button for around 5 seconds and then release.
  5. Turn the dial to the off position
Hope this helps and good luck!

Ihave Bosch Maxx 6 e2 error. I tried to reset the machine but it didn't work. What is the problem and what can I do?

The e2 error is a generic error that the machine shows if it's been overloaded or if the load becomes unbalanced during a wash cycle.

To fix you must do a master reset of the washing machine.

1. Close the door and make sure the dial is pointing to the "OFF" function
2. Hold the Start/Pause button and turn the dial anti clockwise (to the left) to the "express 15 min" program at the same time.
3. Hold the Start/Pause button for a minute (the e2 message is meant to start flashing after a minute of holding the button down however with my washing machine this didn't happen) (and neither with mine)
4. Release the button and turn the dial back to the "Off" function.
5. Select any program and the message should not be appearing.

Reset pcb bosch classixx 1200 express

There is no reset as such, if the motor shorted when the motor brushes went there is a good chance that it blew the motor tracking or relay on the board. Sometime this is indicated by F20 or F21. Unfortunately this will be a new board. You could try to run a motor test as follows:
Hold in the start button while turning the dial one click to the left (30 easycare) wait until the display shows 888 or two indicators light up next to dial.
Release start and turn dial to 60 cotton (WITHOUT GOING THRO THE OFF).
Press start
This should start a motor test
slow turn one way, slow turn the other, pump on then up to full spin.
(some machines will show the rpm on the display).
If this does not work, you probably need to change the module aswell.
Best of luck

Ok, the school where I work was having an electronics recycling drive and one of the other labs recycled an iMac G5 A1058. I have a friend who needs a new computer, so I took it, got a new hard drive for...

Bad capacitors often cause the no-turn-on problem. This page has a good picture of what bad caps look like in the G5. If you see this trouble in your G5, you might be able to get this going. Kits of capacitors are available (here's the place I got some from) and If you're comfortable with electronic soldering and replacing parts on a printed circuit board, changing out the duds may be all that's needed. I've seen three of these now. On one, there was just a single bad cap that was keeping the computer from starting up. It's certainly worth looking into.

How do I turn off the beepers on my Bosch washer

To turn the beep off (or volume down) on the Exxcel 7 (BOSCH WAE24468GB you do the following:
1. Turn setting dial to off. 2. Turn dial one step clockwise (wait for panel to light) 3. Keep finger on 'RPM' button and turn dial another step clockwise and release finger. 4. The default setting of '2' should appear on the display, this represents the Button Signal Volume 5. Pressing 'Ready in' button cycles through the volume settings from 0 (off) to 4 (very loud!). 6. Turn dial another step clockwise to set the 'Information Signal Volume', which is also set to '2' by default. This is the one that annoys everyone at the end of the cycle!
All the manuals are on the Bosch website, if you know the model code.
