Lift up the rewind crank. Press the film rewind button on the bottom of the camera and turn the crank clockwise. Rewind until the tension on the crank lessens, indicating that the film leader has been released from the take-up spool. Pull up on the film rewind crank and the back will open.

Is there a manual rewind on nikon n65?

If by manual you mean turning a crank to rewind the film, no. If you mean to do it at a point other than the end of the roll, yes.

To rewind film mid-roll, press the two film rewind buttons simultaneously for approximately one second. The film will then rewind and the frame counter will count backward. The film is completely rewound when the E appears in place of the frame number.

The two film rewind buttons are marked with a red film canister symbol with left-pointing arrows. One is the exposure compensation button next to the control panel, the other is the self-timer button next to the mode dial.

My Canon AE-1 Program will not rewind. I shot the whole roll, rewound a little, and then accidentally opened the back cover. The counter reset to S, and the rewind crank just unscrews when I try to...

I think you have already ruined the film except the frames that are rewind back to the film cartridge.
You can take the film out from the camera, push in the rewind button at the bottom, pull out the film from the film take up reel.
On the film cartridge, turn on the long tube in the middle clockwise to wind all the film back into the cartridge.
If you had the back opened briefly, do manual film rewinding in the dark room.

FILM WILL NOT REWIND

On the N80 - there are custom functions you can set in terms of when a film rewinds. Normally it is default to rewinding automatically at the end of a film. If this setting has been changed, or you want to rewind a film before the end - you need to press two buttons and hold them, at the same time.

The first button is the LCD backlight button next to the LCD, and the second is the flash sync button on the rear of the camera. Both should have a little red film symbol on them. Press them both and hold them, and the film should begin to rewind.

Can't rewind film

It should automatically rewind when the roll is at the end. For mid-roll rewind press both the rewind buttons simultaneously for about 1 sec and the film will rewind.

Film rolls back automaticaly

The camera shouldn't be doing this, assuming you're using 36 exposure (or 24 exposure) film. You may want to set a custom function to prevent automatic rewind -- you would have to rewind the film yourself by pressing the rewind button.

To do this:
1. Under the palm grip, press the 'CF' (custom function) button.
2. Use the main dial to select 'F1' in the LCD. It should show a '0' below the 'F1'.
3. Press the 'CF' button to change the '0' to a '1'.
4. Press the shutter button half way to save the change and exit the custom function setting mode.

If you want to stop the rewind with the film leader still exposed (film doesn't rewind entirely into the cannister), use the same steps but set custom function 'F2' to a value of '1'.

check the mechanism inside the film compartment, it may have a broken rewinding gear, if there's nothing broken clean the contact point inside the film compartment, use cotton buds and alcohol or fluid.
