My laser burn on my Oblivion is pathetic! I get it fixed in Game Station then I bring it home put it straight into my xbox and it crashes when it says "loading downloadable content please wait...." and if I get past that, it crashes everytime I talk to an Argonian!

If it's scratched up then bring it to a game shop like Rock 30 Games or Gamestop and they will professionally clean the disk for 2 bucks or so.

your laser has become unaligned . to fix the problem you need to take it to be serviced. I've seen this before. ^_^

try to play it on another xbox....might be the cd....if so try to get another cd. if not uninstall and reinstall the patches. or also try to rip the contents of the dvd-rom to the hard drive and play with both disc and hard drive....maybe too much stress on the dvd-rom drive such as overheating or cyclic rundary errors

to fix lazor burned disk the best solution is to use silver polish me and my friend did it with my MW2 disk and its works good as new
