Saeco Magic leaks water between water tank and machine.

Can anyone tell me how to keep my coffee maker from leaking water from between the water tank and the coffee maker? It seems to happen about every couple of months. Especially just after I refill the water tank.

The coffee maker is about 4 years old and the rubber grommet in the coffee maker under the tank seems to be in good shape.

Hi,

You have to replace the gasket in the machine where the water tank goes in to the machine.

Water tank leaking leaking on my Magic Comfort espresso machine. Does not seal properly when set.

It sounds like the water tank on your Saeco Magic Comfort+ espresso machine is not sealing properly, causing it to leak. Here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
  • Check the gasket seal on the water tank. The gasket is a rubber ring that helps create a tight seal when the tank is in place. Make sure that the gasket is in good condition and that it is properly seated in the tank.
  • Make sure the tank is properly aligned and seated on the machine. The tank should be flush against the machine and the locking mechanism should be securely in place.
  • Clean the tank and the area where the tank sits on the machine. Any debris or buildup can prevent a proper seal from forming.
  • Check the locking mechanism for any damage or debris.
  • If the issue still persists, you may have to replace the gasket or the water tank, you should consider reaching out to the manufacturer customer service or a technician for assistance.
It is also worth to check the user manual to see if there is any troubleshooting steps or warranty information.
It is important to keep in mind that the water tank of an espresso machine is under pressure, and if the machine is leaking, it could be a sign of a bigger problem with the machine, so it is best to address the issue as soon as possible to avoid any further damage.

My saeco magic plus leaks water when the tank is full

You should check the water tank gasket which is located directly under the water tank.. It is not part of the tank. It's on the machine side.

See the video on our page.

Saeco Magic Espresso Maker is leaking

I know I'm probably too late for this solution, but it could be your brew head gasket is cracked if it got too old, the outlet valve is defective/worn/broken or it could be a worn out steamer needle valve. This will appear as soon as the heating element is turned and water expands.

You can get most common maintenance parts in kits on line for about $50 or so for a complete set or individual parts for less than $20; As for the valve stem if it isn't too worn out, you can resurface it carefully with a file and sandpaper.

Water leaking under the tank

If the water is coming from under the cold water tank on the back of the machine it probably the o-ring seal in the grey machine recepticle which is visable when you remove the tank for filling. This seals the tank to the machine body and over time can leak (mine has!!). You can get them from Gaggia UK in Halifax

Water leaking into machine

This happens when the boiler develops a leak, usually due to scale buildup. Order a new boiler and o-rings and replace.
