If you are still using the compustar remotes and they are working then the remote start is still hooked up. What did the dealership say exactly? What is the shop telling you. The dealerships likes to blame everything on he remote start but if they cant give you a exact reason why the remote start caused the car not to start they are probably just guessing it's the starter. If the remote start wasn't installed correctly or a part failed when u were trying to crank the truck you would of seen the security light flashing on the dash rapidly, it looks like a car with a lock on top of it. Do u remember if that ever happened.
Aftermarket remote start systems are notorious for starting concerns due to the fact THEY ARE BYPASSING YOUR THEFT DETERENT FROM THE FACTORY.Definately in the remote start system. Are you using the factory remotes to open the doors?
