I need to change my nat type from strict to open

This router does not have the typical "strict or open" NAT types. Looking at the manual, it looks like what you want is NAT enabled and SUA only enabled.

Page 133 has the details.

Log into router
go to the NAT tab
Enable NAT
Enable SUA only

Change NAT to open

maybe instead of nat, set you xbox as a DMZ host. This would be done on the router itself. It will allow the Xbox to bypass the firewall and nat on the router/gateway, and at the same time keep your computer safe.

Nat type changes back on ps3

you need to make sure that when you change it that you apply in your modem setup page that bridge mode is activated so that it turns it into a dumb unit allowing just to pass through the internet stream thus allowing constant nat 2 connection

Changing the NAT typer from "moderate" to "open"

Follow these steps to use this solution:
  1. Use the no ip nat {inside | outside}command to disable future translations from taking place.
  2. Use the clear ip nat translation command to clear IP NAT translations.
  3. Change the NAT configuration.
  4. Restore the NAT {inside | outside} arguments with the ip nat {inside | outside} configuration command.RICHARDM69
