My asus Eee pc 1000HG has an integrated webcam which worked fine. Recently, not sure when, but all memory of the webcam has gone. I can find no reference to it anywhere. Its not on control panel nor in systems manager. AVG system information contained no reference to it either so it is gone. I am not sure what happened or how to fix it. Can anyone help please?

webcam drivers are included by xp from defaulkt, you might have to re-enable it in the bios (f2 whilst starting up)

Hello, I'm not actually sure if you can do this by yourself, or you might just have to get a technician to fix it for you.
What I would suggest that you should do is to get a replacement keyboard for the laptop, you can even buy it from an electronics store by yourself and get a technician to fix it for you (If you cant do it by yourself), this way it would be cheaper.
This is because it is not always advisable to try and repair a laptop keyboard, because one way or the other, it would still develpo problem again. So its better you change it outright and put the inconvenience behind you.
