Technical Fault is Pressure switch jammed on empty: check switch & module... in laymans terms its either a blocked sump hose or faulty pressure switch/module
You need to clean the filter.
Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Locate and remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean the filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well
Hope this helps with your problem
I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WF740. This does have brushes. Tilt the washing machine backwards & look underneath. The brushes can be seen on the motor housing, they are secured by two screws each.
press and hold on off button till the display panel lights up.Then press and hold the on/off button and the start /cancel button together. You will now reset the washing machine settings. And just pick your cycle again
Power it off at the mains for 60 mins and then rety. If it still does the same then call in a repair man as it is most likely thatthe main controller board is faulty and needs replacing.
If the machine is under 5yrs old ring Hotpoint.. They will charge around £90 to repair the machine including parts and those parts will be guaranteed for a further year...
It sounds like you have a control board issue and the control board plus labour would cost you in excess of the Hotpoint charge
that sounds to me like a water pressure problem. check the hoses aren't kinked and that water comes out at a reasonable rate.
the small filters where they attach to the machine may be limescaled up and want cleaning.
