NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Never give your phone number unless you want to get some realy nasty crank calls.
Your ISP should be able to give you your modem settings
The problem can be internally. But you can try a system restore first. But make sure you take a backup and then do this.Because it will erase all the data.
To do a sys. restore go to START>ALL ACCESSORIES>PROGRAMS>SYSTEM TOOLS>SYSTEM RESTORE
I know it sounds foolish, but be sure the phone jack you're plugging in to actually has dialtone. Make sure the line cord you're using is good, and is firmly plugged in until the latch snaps in. Sometimes the plug may seem like it's in but isn't making a good contact.
If it still says there's no dialtone, try reinstalling the modem drivers. Then start looking for a replacement modem.
Sir , I am having Huawei Wireless Modem.(TUSB3410).For Internet connection(dail up). I am having windows xp I cant install the modem with this vista. .Please solve my problem...
some dial connections dont like the filters attached. does the new modem have more then one ethernet connection on it? have u tried it on another connection if u have on in the house? it may just be your settings in the computer. are you using the same computer for both broadband and dial up? if you are then you may need to adjust the settings in your computer, your isp should have done all that for you.
