Have you tried:
1) delete some old messages (especially the SENT folder)
2) delete some pictures or videos
This should open-up some memory for you to use.

The mobile device usually has 4 kilobytes (KB) allocated for the Short Message Service (SMS) functionality. The SMS notification can be a maximum of 160 characters in length. When this limit is reached (after approximately 25 notifications), the user receives the message described above.

What you are facing is normal if you are recieving a file that is bigger than the space available on the "c:" drive of your phone. What you have to do is change the setting for messages to be saved on "e:" that has 32GB. Go to the Menu> Messages> Settings> Other> Memory in use> select E: Mass memory. Now you can recieve much larger files.
You can also clear the web cache by going to:
web -> clear privacy data
