How to switch on my built in dell web cam... i'm using dell studio lap top.. my OS is windows 7

try and install the right driver for this device ...that's why it says this ...it sees all wrong ...the issue with windows 7 is that does not have drivers for cameras or elder devices....if it is a built in camera ....just try to get in touch with the manufacturer and see if there is any drivers for the camera ...also ...you can try the driver for vista on 64 ...usually works ..but this is not a rule...
if there is no other chance ..until the driver will appear on the internet ...just get another camera with driver compatible with this operating system ...or roll back to vista or xp ...cause this oS is not that great anyway ...its slow...hard t use...and strange...

plz specify ur os. if it is windows. check ur audio setting and then ur driver. a max no of audio problems are software oriented
