A couple of days ago when using the oven I smelled a slight electrical burning odor. This evening there wasn't any odor, however about 20 minutes into having the oven at 350, there was a pop and the oven went out; tripping the circuit breaker. Is this a burned out unit that I can purchase and repair? If so, what part # The oven is a JenAir JJW9527AAW 27" wall oven

Yes, the problem you are describing is most likely a fried heating element. This can be repaired for around $40

Strong gas odor only when oven is in operation?

If you're talking about the acrid smell immediately after starting the oven, that's aldehyde gas, a byproduct of cold gas combustion where the flame contacts the cold metal oven surfaces. That smell should disappear within the first minute or two, and it's entirely normal for a gas oven. If you're talking instead about the smell of fuel gas, then your burner may need to be adjusted; it may be running much too "rich".

Microwave is smoking when I use it as a convection oven

It seems to be self cleaning... burning all the oils that coats the inside from microwaving food that wasn't covered. Clean the oven well and to remove bad smells put lemon juice in a bowl and microwave.

EW30EW65SS Stainless Steel smells like burning electrical

Hello purrpplee - If the smell is coming out of the oven vent, more than likely it is something inside the oven that is creating the odor. Also, keep in mind that new cooking products can create a burning electrical odor when the bake and broil cycles are used as any residual coating or film on the oven liner and elements burns off. However, if odor increases consult a professional for an accurate diagnosis.

Hi,
The self destruct or self clean feature has burnt the wiring inside your range... do not use that feature it causes the range to get too hot...

There is a terrible smell from the oven

I would need to be there to verify but if it is not an electrical odor then I would suspect a dead rodent, or if you have pets a mouse could have packed the space between the liner and the frame with pet food. I had one that had stored 20 pounds of dog food in there.

Kenmore ultra self cleaning oven or top heat

I found that the 220 plug had burned out, that was where the smoke came from. The display worked because the ground "prong" was the only one burned. Had to replace the electrical 220 socked and the electrical plug on the oven.
