SOURCE: Ice maker not working

Good day,
You'll need to follow the steps below to isolate the problem. It's important that the freezer is at normal temperature since if it goes above 10 degrees the ice maker will lock out.
I will have to assume the filter is passing the water flow properly.

First step is to take a small paper cup of water and fill the cavity until it is near full. With the ice maker turned on, close freezer door and wait 3 hours to see if it harvests. If not, the ice maker is bad, and must be replaced. If the cubes harvest then.......
Three possibilities.
1. The water supply from the house is not delivering water to the water valve. Shut off the house at the meter, disconnect the line going to the water valve, and with the line pointed into a bucket, have someone turn the valve back on for a 15 second count. The water should come out smartly. If not, the line and it's fittings will have to be replaced.
2. The fill tube from the back of the machine that feeds water into the back of the ice maker is frozen up. You will have to remove the ice maker to visually inspect that tube. If blocked, it needs to be defrosted, but use caution. Too much heat too fast will start to melt plastic and vinyl parts you don't want melted.
If this is the case, then once cleaned out, you will have to change the water valve located in the back bottom rear of the machine because it is leaking during the off cycle.
3. If everything checks O.K. up to this point, you will have to purchase and install a new water valve, and install it.
P.S. Under very rare occasions the electric circuity in the ice maker will fail to send a signal to the water valve. Although rare, it can happen, in which case the best option is to replace the ice maker and water valve.

Ice marker stopped making ice

There is a test button underneath of the motor side of the ice maker. Unplug your refrigerator for 5 minutes then push the test button on the ice maker if it doesn't move you need an ice maker if it does move and you still don't get any water the metal tube that supplies the water to the ice maker is frozen up and blocking water from coming into the mold.

Samsung side by side fridge/freezer ice and water is not working after filter change

If your water and ice maker are not working, you may not have turned your water valve back on. If your water valve is turned on, try rotating your water filter further so that it completely locks as it may not be installed all the way. Once it is completely installed, press the "water" button for approximately three seconds until it turns blue. If this does not solve the problem, you may have a bad filter, here is a replacement filter that you can purchase to install into your refrigerator: http://www.freshwatersystems.com/p-3658-swift-green-sgf-dsb30-compatible-samsung-da29-00003b-refrigerator-filter.aspx

I have a Maytag frid m#PBF2255HEW (bottom freeze w/ice maker. My ice marker currently works but after dumping a tray of ice it "leaks" water into the tray causing all of the ice in tray to be one...

Sounds like the water inlet solenoid is getting stuck open, this is assuming you ice cubes are normal to large in size, Small would indicate the ice maker is leaking, You can try just replacing this valve , It's the valve that connects to the water hose behind your refrigerator and is fastened to the lower corner of refrigerator. Otherwise you can purchase the entire ice maker and solenoid kit for around 65.00 Hope this helps

Ge ice marker no 120v to seloniod water valve

It sounds like the plug-in for the solenoid valve is not making contact with the terminals on the solenoid . You can either buy a new connector or cut the plug for the solenoid and crimp 1/4 inch sta-cons (insulated type) to the wires.

The ice marker does not make ice. Have looked

If theres water in the line going to the fridge and the ice maker works , most of the times the water valve ( solenoid) that opens when the ice maker needs water , is leaking or doesn't work.
