It wont scan. The on and off button just flashes green. Prints fine but wont scan. What do I do?

• Turn the printer off.
• Press and hold the green power button and turn on the printer.
• Release after first flash of led light.The printer will run a test print.
• Turn it off and then on again.
• Now print!

03 Jeep Liberty sunroof wont close. I have 4 sunroof buttons; Open, Close, Vent and ASC. Open and Vent buttons are working fine. Close button is not responding. ASC button is flashing red and green but does nothing when pushed. I have no way to get it closed

The power light is flashing green can indicate start/restart of the power supply due to shorts circuits or failing power supply due to bad caps, look for bad caps with bulging top first, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

try to clean lasser/scanner assembly. there is a mirrors iniside

It seems that scanner glass is not glowing or may be bulb are not moving properly.
you can try these thigs:
1)Turn ON the printer unplug the powe cable from the back of the unit; wait for 30secs; replug the power cable.
2) Try this to check teh funtionality of hardware Load letter or A4, unused plain white paper into the input tray.

1. Press and hold the Cancel ( ) and the Start Copy Color buttons at the same time.
2. Release both buttons. The self-test page prints.

3) Now check if its copying or not?
It will work fine(if your printer scanner glass is fine)

You can also try scanning from computer(if installed)
the location of file would be=
c:\program files\hp\digital imaging\bin
here locate for file "hpqscnvw" hit it and try to scan

HP does not support Vista operating system, no software or drivers for it are offered at all. If Vista, you also cannot use either the scan button on the "All-in-One" or the usual method of HP Solution Center. HP has discontinued the F4180 and supports it only minimally.
You can scan via Windows Photo Gallery, or though Paint, or through Windows Fax and Scan. File - Import from camera or scan, or File - scan, are paths.

I have loved this printer/scanner but plan myself to avoid anything HP makes in the future because of this "support".

OUR SCANNER IS CONNECTED BUT DOES NOT WORKING. DOES NOT POWER ON THE "SCANNING LAMB" NOW THE TWO GREEN LIGHTS ARE FLASHING ( POWER AND READY ) BUT THE SCANNER DOES NOT WORK OR SCAN.

open your cpu remove the ram clean it put it back your problem will be sloves

you need to get a new printer.
