There is a toner sensor in this printer that shoots a beam of light through the toner cartridge. As long as the toner is full and blocks the light, it sees it as being full. If it were the sensor, it would tell you this for all the toners, though. The printer also calculates how much toner may have been used and gives warnings based on that. It could be that this isn't getting reset after you change toner. You can reset the toner gage by going into the reset menu and selecting "New xxxx cartridge" and changing it to YES.

Driver could be corrupt. Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

yes Is there a sensor in the printer and in the toner cartridge that tells the printer when the toner is low. if u r using new cartridge it indicates perfectly.if u r using refilled cartridge the indication is not always perfect.so u do one thing use your cartridge till u think the printout is perfect do not worry about this messages this is common in many printers.if this solution helps u pls rate it as "fixya" thank u for using fixya.good luck.
