Candy sprinter hello there I have a candy sprinter electric hob . The thing is I was cooking on it earlier and it just suddenly turned off , no spillages or anything . Its coming up with code error 3. Is this something I can fix myself or does it need someone to come out to look at it. May thanks Nina

The locking function holds the current settings, or prevents anyone from starting the hob. It is also used for cleaning the control strip as the controls can be locked without the hob being on. The hob is locked, the locking indicator " L " is displayed on all zones for 20 seconds. To unlock the hob : -Press the on/off button      . The locking indicator " L " is displayed on all zones. -Press simultaneously the " - " button and the " + " button of the front right zone (PVD 633 front left zone), and then press again on the " - " button of this zone. Hi
Did you notice a flick of the lights in the house or room when you were cooking?? that may have been caused by a voltage jump
Try to unplug the stove for 10 minutes and plug back in, that might re-set the memory.

Hope this help you

Hob light up.

I take it the two fuses you mention were the house fusebox and the fuse in the outlet in your kitchen? If you know the mains is getting to the hob and nothing at all is lighting up on the panel then this sounds like a job for the professionals. I can't find any mention of a reset button or user acessable fuse in the manual. The only thing left to do is check the main wire connection underneath the hob - if it is accessable. (switch off at the wall first!) Assuming you are in the UK Service force telephone number is 08705 929 929 Hope this helps.

GAS KITCHEN APPLIANCE CLICKING SOUND

Good Day,<br /><br />Have you ever had that problem with your Gas Hob, Stove or Cooktop where you hear a clicking the whole time, coming from <span style="font-weight: bold;">the ignition switches?</span> Well, then today I will show you how to <span style="font-weight: bold;">resolve the problem.</span><br /><br />Why does this happen? <span style="font-weight: bold;">Moisture</span> on the ignition switches... Be it because of you cleaning it obsessively or, because you might have had a small water spillage - the causes could be quite a few things <span style="font-weight: bold;">related to water.</span><br /><br />Now for the solution (Please note: I will be using a General Electric Stove & Hotpoint Hob as demonstration, but this solution should work for <span style="font-weight: bold;">most ranges - if not all</span>)<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Step 1 (Safety first)</span><br /><br />Turn the machine off, switch it off at the mains if it is powered by it, and if powered by another source - Turn this off!<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Step 2</span><br /><br />Remove the knobs of the Hob/Stove:<br /> <br /><img src="jedemeyer1_31.JPG" /><br /><br />If they do not come out, try to pull them as far out as possible, without breaking them. If there is a seal beneath them, then take it off as well - in the case if the knob does not come off, leave them be... If any grime or fat deposits are present, remove them with a damp cloth and some toothpicks.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Step 3</span><br /><br />Get a hairdryer, or fan.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">If using the hairdryer:</span> <span style="font-style: italic;">Dry each knob area for 3 to 5 minutes for each knob respectively.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">If using a fan:</span> <span style="font-style: italic;">Put the fan facing all the knobs, and leave it there for 30 minutes.</span><br /><br style="font-weight: bold;" /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Step 4</span><br /><br />Leave the oven for <span style="font-style: italic;">about 20 minutes</span>, and then re-attach the knobs and seals and re-connect it to power.<br /><br />TEST, and viola! The problem is fixed.<br /><br />I have attached a video to this Tip, that shows a complete yet simple solution to this problem (Kindly provided by General Electric):<br /><br /><utube src="-vG9QQDiFCw"><br /><br />Now you can use your Hob/Cooktop/Stove with no more annoying clicking sounds.<br /><br />I hope this Tip has helped you, if it did - Please rate it.<br /><br />Kind Regards<br /><br />JEDEMEYER1<br />

My candy ceramic hob alternating flicking F and H? What's wrong?

The 'H' symbols will flash in the display the first time your hob is connected and switched on. This is because the hob has been heat tested at the factory, then switched off while still hot. This may also happen if you are using the hob and you have a power cut.

Error code F1 indicates that the power is too low due to unsuitable cookware or an empty pot. Error code F indicates that there is no cookware on the zone or the cookware is unsuitable.
