Would like to send back Braun Series 3 (370cc) razor/trimmer. The trimmer assembly came off and spring dislodged/displaced. Please give me an address where I can send back for return of razor for new one. My husband really likes the trimmer/razor. It was used under normal recommended-use conditions. We purchased the razor in June of 2010.

I struggled with this for a while too till I found a diagram. Place the wire spring and the flat detente spring (all the way to the bottom of the slot) in as shown in this diagram. When the trimmer plate goes all the way in, the spring will snap into its correct final position. Lee

How to fix the Braun series 3 razor, after the trimmerattachment, falls off, due to sonic weld failures ...
Hi Sorry I don't have the answer but this must be a common problem as my braun has the trimmer sticking out at 45 degrees when closed. The head lock went 2 weeks before the trimmer wouldn't retract so it looks like a design problem
The one piece motor drive which also contains the shaver head in the Braun wear out. They can be replaced by yourself or a shaver tech. A good place for parts, http://shaveroutlet.com/.
To disassemble the 7000 Series Braun shaver.
Disassembly of the 7000 Braun shaver is basically the same as the 8000 series Braun shaver listed below. The 7000 is actually easier to disassemble as the plastic is much thicker and the bottom socket cover pops right off as there are less tabs and they are bigger.
To disassemble the 8000 Braun Series shaver.
Remove the plastic cover on the bottom that covers the corded socket. Be careful, there are a total of two tabs on the short sides and four very small tabs on the long sides. I usedmy fingernail to create a space big enough to insert the corner of a credit card in the center of the long side opposite the blue light indicator, then gently removed the cover. Using a screwdriver could damage the plastic.
The two sides then pop off, they only fit on their respective side when replacing. Don't lose the two small black seals on the top of each side piece.
There are a total of four screws holding the body together. Remove the screws, using the proper flat blade or torx screwdriver. The shaver will then split into. You can then remove the the Motor Drive Unit and the separate circuit board with the batteries.
This would also be a good time to clean the goo buildup from around the shaver head.
Assembly is the reverse of above. The Motor Unit will only fit in one way, there is a flat side and a angular side. Be sure the pin for the trimmer is placed in its proper hole, or it won't extend.
I had a similar problem where one of the side covers popped off. I was able to reattach it, by carefully aligning the spring and pushing back into place. If you've lost the pin, you're out of luck. Braun does not make these kinds of parts available for user servicing, unfortunately.
However, the 7000 series models are all compatible with each other in terms of motor, battery, and razor head armature. You could try locating a moderately used example on the cheap (maybe less than $20) and then cannibalize it for the parts you need.
Do NOT send it off to Braun for servicing, as you will be charged much more than the shaver is worth. If it comes to that, you're better off just going with an 8000 series shaver.
