Water witholding container, the BLADDER separates / colapse in container, so that water leaks out quickly before I can start machine.

I have the same problem and unfortunately all of the forums that I have read say that the "Bladder" is uncapable of handling HOT water it can only handle WARM water or the neck of the bag will deform and you will have to purchase another one at a cost between $25 - $40 + S/H . So for this I give Bissell a BIG NEGATIVE for this product, I wish they would have never gotton away from the older models that connected straight to the kitchen faucet for fresh water !

Took inner bladder out now won't hold water

Inner bladder is needed to hold the fresh water for spray. Make sure the bladder is pulled through the bottom of the tank and that the black cap with a red rubber seal on the bottom of the tank.

If the black cap is missing you'll need to purchase a new one. Here's a quick link.

Whare does the dirty water go in the bissel 12 amp pro heat carpet cleaner

the clean water goes into a "Bladder Bag" that is located inside the tank. The way it is designed to work, as the clean water dispenses from the bladder bag, the outer part around the bladder bag fills with the dirty water. It never touches the clean water. Seems wierd, but it works! I hope this helps, if it does, please give feedback, as it helps me to gain ratings. Thank you! Remember to have your cleaners serviced every year by a qualified tech! I have the bissell x2 12 amp carpet shampooer

The water should be picked up fairly rapidly into the area surrounding the clean water bladder. Try checking the lint filter to fix your suction problem. It is located in the top clear plastic section (the one with the dial to switch from tool to floor use). One the under side of it there is a small (1 inch square) red filter with a little door on it. Flip open the door and it is probably clogged with hair, carpet fibre. etc.. Clean it out and you should have suction.

Bissell carpet shampooer

First check that the top cover on the back side hasn't come loose. Sometimes the plastic around the screws break away and the top starts to separate, raising the tank, and no spray. Make sure that the gaket is on the valve at the bottom of the tank and not sitting loose in the hole. Check the pump belt. The pump may be bad.
