I need to change the Router password - Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router

Connect to the router via a cable.
Open CMD (command) prompt and type:
iconfig
you will see a default gateway listed - write the ip address down.
Open internet explorer and enter the gateway address into the address bar.
Should open a web page to configure the router.
You may have to provide a password.

If you're only interested in wireless password change, select different pages until you get to the wireless stuff.

Welcome to Fixya. If you want Password on your router you need to access the Wireless Settings Page. To access the router page you need a working computer that is connected to the router. To access your router you need to use a computer that is connected to it. Open a Browser then type 192.168.0.1 or http://routerlogin.net. The Default username is admin and the password is password. Password is case sensitive.

Go to the Wireless Tab select Wireless Security under the Security Mode you will see there Network Key or Passphrase. The Network Key serves as a password or security code on your network to make it secure.

When changing the advanced settings on the Belkin router, you should change the default password.

To change the password, go to Administrator Password. Type in a new password. Make sure you remember the password, otherwise, you will need to reset the router back to default settings.

If you want to change the password to access the router you can open your browser and put in the address 192.168.1.1 (unless you changed it) and press enter. You should be prompted for a user name and password. Leave the user name section blank and put in the password for the router. Once you have logged into the router successfully, you will see the Administration tab. Click on it and you will be able to change the router password. Save the changed and close the browser window when you are finished.
If you need to change the Wireless Internet password, you can click on the Wireless tab, go to Wireless security and change the passphrase there too.

by default it is admin is the password, by changing the router password, you need to access the interface of the router, via 192.168.1.1 - nothing for username and password is admin, once you log in the setup screen of the router look for administration tab and there you will find the password of the router so may change it. After putting the new password down at the bottom page you need to save the settings there.
