I forgot my network password. Is resetting the router the only way to connect?

If you forgot the wireless password then it can be found on router setup page. You need to open the router setup page and find the wireless network password.

Is It Your Router Password Or Your Network Password? Your Router Password will be the one you need just to get into your Router Settings(some people don't have one set) and you network password will be the one you need to connect to the internet, etc.
If its you network password just find the reset button and press it for about 30 seconds and there will be no password then you will need to go into the router settings and set a new password(if you want of course). Most of the routers have the reset button on the back and inside a little hole, just use a small pick and press it.

For most routers you can do this by holding the reset botton (Usually found on the back of the router) for 30 seconds while the router is plugged in, then without letting go of the reset botton unplug the router for 30 seconds, then while you are still holding the reset botton plug the router back and hold for another 30 seconds.

Pressing and holding the Reset button for 15-20 seconds should reset your router to its original condition, ie., with the factory default logon/password. You'll have to re-enter any changes you may have made to your specifications, but you'll then be able to reset your password.

Are you looking for the wireless password or the password of the router?
If you want the password of the router, then try the default password of the router. If the default password doesn't work then you will need to reset the router and reconfigure the router.
If you are looking for the wireless network password, then you will need to open the set up page of the router. Is there any computer connected to the router ? If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router. Or any other computer which is able to go online using the router. Check the IP address on that computer. open the set up page of the router. Set up page of the router is the page where you will find all the settings of the router. under the wireless section you will find the wireless network password

You have to options, use a computer that is connected to the network either with a wired connection or a wireless that is connected and go into the router using it's IP address and check the password that way, or reset the router to factory settings and set it up again

If you forgot your admin password too, it's gonna be tough.

On a computer connected to the network go to www.routerlogin.com the usnername is always admin and the default password is password. If that gets you in, you should have no trouble finding the networking key under wireless settings.

If you don't know the login password, you may have to reset the router.
