I've had the kodakcamera m853 for years and never had a problem with it, but now when I go to download my pictures onto my computer, the screen that pops up isn't & my kodak software dosnt recognize that the camera is plugged in

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Just plug it via usb cable,,should load a driver ,,and be fine without easyshare app,,,and send pics to picture folders

M853 pink lines pink pictures

you may just have to take the cost of repairing or replacing it. for ashleyyy x0 and angela1178 if your screen only shows in pink no matter if your looking to take a picture or video or look through the menu the damage may be to the screen. for ginawell it seems there is damage to the data streaming from the lens to the lcd screen.
