Need a new DV Media Pro 2.2 CD Mine is corrupted - company can not supply

This is a new answer for an old question. Just today, I emailed the Xacto company (contact us on their website) and they responded with " a courtesy replacement will be sent to the address below."

Please contact me thru www.arrowpools.net. I'll need an email picture in order to ensure we are sending you the correct print as Maytronics doesn't use the part number you see on the back for parts diagrams.

You do not need the manual, you need the white DV cable that comes with the view cam. it connects into the DV port on the left side of the camera theto the "Y" port located next to the usb ports in the front of the hard drive. Turn the camera to VCR and XP will automatically open the CD wizard and follow the prompts. then use any burning device on your computer, mine is Media Center to make a DVD. Its easy for those challenged like myself!

0x000000ED suggests a hard drive problem. It may be mechanically failing or it's file system is corrupt. To fix corruption, you need to start your computer from a CD or DVD, or thumb drive which has utilities for fixing hard disk file corruption. Such a disk/thumb drive can be found, downloaded, created from the Internet but you will need a working computer to create the utility media.

Hi kattas, do you know if any of your friends that may also use windows media center edition in their PC?
If one does have the Windows Media Center CD you can use their CD to reinstall that over your PC's corrupt system. Located on your case is a Microsoft sticker & on that sticker is your CD-key for installing Media Center. The CD-key is specific for your Sony. Any Media Center CD will function & install over your corrupted current version. (Your not going to run format, your just going to boot to the CD & reinstall Windows). Please post your Sony's model number here so I can post Sony's web site link for you to download your driver software.
As a last option you can contact Sony & order new CD's for your model. You can click this link (to call Sony).

Just run the driver *.exe and THEN plug in your camera. it will find the driver and ask you to accept the software (unsigned certificate or something) click yes.

It says Traveler but this camera was made under at least 2 brands from the company in China. Optimus and Traveler. Both are part number 16-3899 but are model DV-5040

Here is a real answer that may give you some insight. A lyra is a hard drive player and you must treat it like a hard drive. Run a scan disk check or some virus soft ware. Maybe even reformat it and down load and reinstall updates. However, if it is like mine and not allowing you to access anything on it to be able to fix it, then i guess we will have to get another one. RCA is under a new name since a few years ago. The new company is Thompson Inc. These people assumed RCA's name but give **** customer support.
