There are 2 different places to add oil to my 3500 Honda engine pressure washer (cold). Do I use SAE 30 for the motor oil and gear oil for the other oil?

You can use sae 30 in the motor and hydraulic oil or gear oil in the pump.
just note that there may be two oil filler holes on the motor.

Testimonial: "Thank you very much for verifying the oil for me."

    Hello,

There are 3 places to add oil on most pressure washers. The engine will have two fill ports on the base of the case, one black which is just a plug, the other grey which is a dipstick. The pump should have a single port at the top of the pump housing. Honda recommends 30wt detergent motor oil for their engines. All modern crankcase pumps will use SAE 30 non-detergent oil. Using gear oil or hydraulic oil will cause excess heat in the pump and could cause premature failure of the rods and or crankshaft bearings.

Can I USE SAE 30 NON DETERGENT OIL IN MY HUSKY 2600 PSI PREASURE WASHER.

Gasoline-powered pressure washers use an SAE 30W motor oil (10W-30) in the engine. Always consult the engine manual for specific instructions and be careful to put the correct oil in the correct place.

How to check oil on honda gx160

There is an oil dipstick on the side of the engine. Remove the dipstick and check the oil on the dipstick.
The oil should be about half way up the threads on this engine.
If you need to add oil you can use SAE 30 or a 10W30 Oil.

What oil goes in this unit?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
This response applies only to the engine:
Use 30 WT SAE engine oil.
You can use either detergent or non-detergent oil. I recommned 3 oil changes normal oil change intervals using 30 WT SAE non-detergent oil and on the 4th oil change use a detergent 30 WT Oil.

Where do you add the oil on a DeWalt 3100psi pressure washer?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

From reading everything I can find, i.e User's manual & parts manual the only thing you add oil too is the engine. The pressure pump does not have a liquid sump.

You can look at parts here detail D:
http://www.ereplacementparts.com/dewalt-dpd3100-pressure-washer-parts-c-1009_7440_7445.html

So too add oil to the engine you would remove the dip stick from the crank case located on the opposite of the side of the engine as the oil sensor.

I recommend you use 30 WT SAE oil for 3 oil changes then on the 4th oil change use an HD 30 WT oil. The oil drain plug is located in the center of the side of the engine crank case base. On the 5th Oil change switch back to SAE 30 WT oil. Oil brands are not really important. They all have to meet SAE the same standards to carry the label of SAE. (Yes you can use a generic 30 WT SAE oil )
Thanks for choosing FixYa,

I would like to know if this pressure wahser use only gas or (Gas and Oil) is mixed?

352edb9.jpg

If your engine has a place to put oil, then your power washer uses ordinary gasoline.
The only type engine that uses 2-cycle oil and gas mixture is engine that has no place to put oil.

Oil for pump comes half way up >>> pump uses SAE20 or SAE 30 non-detergent motor oil
Oil for engine comes half way up dip stick and uses 10-W30 motor oil

What type of oil is needed for a Honda GC160 Power Washer? Honda 2500 PSI x 2.3 GPM.

The type of oil recommended for that engine is SAE 10W-30 and the capacity is 0.61 quarts. This and more can be referenced at the website at the end of this solution. I was able to find the owners manual of your particular engine.
