Well back when i worked on honeywell controllers, you don't set differentials on thermostat you set the temperature and it has its own differentials like + or - 1 or 2 degrees to the set temperature they don't let you play with this setting, you set your temperature and it will maintain around that temperature you shouldn't need to change the differentials around that temperature as controller does what the heater needs to get to the temperature you require setting the differential closer to set temperature will make the unit cycle a lot more and coast you more and having it to far away can let the conditioned area start to get back out of comfortable range so they set these in factory and you shouldn't be able to change them as they are set to how it should work to wrok properly so i wouldn't change them even if you could!
