Eplaced bulb in kdf50e2000 ,got a red lamp light, and tv would not come on . now, after replacing bulb, when power is turned on green light comes on(power) fan engages , 2 seconds later i get a red power light and fan stops

    After about 5 minutes working it again turned itself off with 4 blinks. I blew out the exhaust fan and again it worked for awhile, but again it turned off. Any suggestions??

    I did that and it worked for a couple of hours, now I am getting 6 times red blinks. Any suggestions??

    Thanks for quick response.
    4 times red blinks indicates error with exhaust fans, please check fans are connected and not caught by any thing/ wire etc that can stop any fan.
    Let me know your finding to proceed.

    That means exhaust fan is not running on full speed, slow run will also create such problem.
    Check fan manually to see is it stuck or moving freely.

    6 times blink shows problem with audio chip that is not related with previous problem.
    Unplug tv from wall socket for minute to get it reset, replug back in and turn it ON.
    Please check tv has enough distance from wall/ shelf for good ventilation as it throws hot air of lamp to maintain internal temp.

Trying to replace lamp in HDTV and having trouble. Does not function correctly after putting in new bulb. Boots up and then visuals go black and the green power light keeps flashing. Help?
Panasonic DLP TV Bulbs

Make sure its an original Osram or Philips bulb inside the housing. If its a cheap lamp it will act this way. If it is an original lamp, then you may have a power supply issue. It shouldn't affect your TV but you may want to try resetting the lamp timer by following the instructions that came with the lamp.

Just replaced the lamp, worked for about 3-4 days, tv won't turn on, green light flash about 3-4 times then a red light flashes, waited about two days, tv came on and worked for about 1 month now the same...
I have the same TV and had same problem . Try taking the bulb and assembly out and reinstall , there are some sensors on the assemblies that might not be getting good contact . It fixed mine .

Check Lamp Fan if it stops running when Lamp trys to Light ,Then Lamp will not Power up,or Ballast Board itis what powers Lamp on.

Your lamp door switch or lamp switch (there are 2) may not be fully engaged or one may have failed. Try seating the lamp again, you may not have it fully installed.

Hello!
Lamp or ballast(if lamp has been replaced) is bad.
Explanation: green comes on: system works, waiting for light to shine into light engine: no light is coming out of lamp, system shuts down, then you see red! how to determine: pull the lamp out of the unit's compartment. Inspect lamp: bloated stem? shuttered? reflector is not shiny? Chuck it!
Lamp looks good or just been replaced: try ballast. Close lamp compartment without lamp itself. Make sure, door is shut, as well. Turn unit on and listen close to lamp compartment: good ballast will make a buzzing noise, then stop. You've got "red'! No buzzing: ballast quit. Needs major repair! Lamp must be good, for sure, to get to the last part of diagnostics. Conclusion: more, than 2000 hours of usage: replace lamp first!

Symptom shows Lamp is weak in result and causing restart of TV again and again. Your TV requires new lamp as per following part number...
A1085447A* LAMP BLOCK ASSY XL-2200U
It is available in Sony Accessories Store for $200 and replacement procedure is written in instruction manual of TV.

Always buy Sony original lamp for TV and avoid aftermarket / cheap lamp for TV safety.
