Hello, this is Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network customer service. If you are not getting satellite signal, the problem can several different things, but here are a few things you can try. First, try a hard reset. To do a hard reset, you unplug the receiver from its power outlet, wait 15 seconds then plug it back in. The next step would be double checking you satellite cable. On the back of the receiver there should be a cable connected where it says "Satellite in", make sure this cable is secured from the receiver to the wall. After you do these steps, try running a check switch test (menu-6-1-1-check switch-test). If you are still not receiving satellite signal, a technician will be needed at the home to fix the issue. You should see the green light on the mother board whenever the power supply is plugged in, so either the wall socket is bad or the power supply.
Try plugging a lamp into the wall socket to make sure a circuit breaker did not trip.
If the wall socket is good, I would suggest the power supply is bad.
At least the power supply fan should go on.
However, if you want to be sure, they sell a voltage checker with lots of lights to show all the outputs of the power supply, for about $10.
Or you could take the power supply out and take it to a shop to be checked.
A new power supply should run about $30.

If the drivers aren't loaded, it won't work properly.
Please check your model number as I cannot find it on Toshiba's database.

Try www.computers.toshiba-europe.com and let Toshiba detect your model.
Toshibe supports most models.

Starting problems?

it could be a glow plug problem ,either the plugs themselves or the feed going to them.check to see if there is 12 volts at any of the plugs when the ignition is switched on,b u should also hear a click as the glow plug relay swithes off.

If you have tried a new charging cable and a new battery that kind of narrows it down to the power button being faulty.

I think it's a problem with WINDOWS,not you laptop. You may have to check your Windows Wi-Fi settings.

Toshiba satellite A205-S5847 booting problem

Check your GraphicCard. Have you tried downgrading to XP and can you tell if you facing same problem?
